Gwyn Early Childhood Education Scholarships Application

The Trustees of the Gwyn Early Childhood Education Endowment, administered by the Rockingham County Partnership for Children, are pleased to announce applications for the Fall 2018 Gwyn Early Childhood Scholarship are being accepted through Friday, April 27th.     

The Gwyn Early Childhood Education Endowment, established in 2006 by the Jule and Trish Gwyn Family, exists to support educational opportunities for early childhood educators and the field of early childhood education in Rockingham County.  The scholarship supports one student pursuing their Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and one student pursuing their Bachelors Degree.

Mr. Fred Thompson, the Chair of the Endowment Trustees and the Rockingham County Partnership for Children’s Board of Directors shared his excitement, “the Trustees and the Board of Directors of the Partnership for Children are excited to support early childhood educators in their academic pursuits.  Quality child care is a vital part of Rockingham County’s economic success and we know that well-educated early childhood professionals have an incredibly positive impact on the quality of the classrooms where they teach.”

Scholarships are awarded annually.  Applications are available here or by calling the Partnership at (336) 342-9676. Applications are due to the RCPC office by 5pm on Friday, April 27th.
